Declare Democracy Awareness a National Holiday
I served twenty-five years and eight months in the United States Army. During this time, I solemnly took and honored my oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America. As a veteran, my commitment to uphold this sacred document and the democratic ideals it enshrines remains as strong as ever. This personal journey and commitment compel me to campaign for our nation to officially recognize Democracy Awareness as a National Holiday.
Democracy serves as the cornerstone of our great nation, rooted deeply within the United States Constitution. It is the very foundation upon which our country stands and thrives, transcending political affiliation and uniting us in our shared values and aspirations. Protecting this foundation is not merely a political duty, but a profound shared responsibility that binds every citizen dedicated to the principles of freedom and justice.
